I didn't break down! It also didn't use that much oil, which is strange considering the RMS leak is more of a dribble usually.

Maybe it was dried out? My Gran Torino leaks when it's not driven for a peroid of time, usually a month, the seal dries out and drips.

My 944 leaves the biggest dribbles after a race, when it's warm. Otherwise, the oil is globby and stays in pretty well. I guess the combination of oil + dirt makes a good stop-leak.
